For the 13th consecutive year the Wesley College Commerce Union will present the "Commerce Day 2010" which will be held on November 11 at the College main hall from 2.00pm onwards. This year the theme has been chosen as "Greener Nation" with the objective to create concern and encourage people to practice eco-friendly business activities.

And in order to achieve this, the Commerce Union has effectively created an agenda to bring out this theme in the best way possible. This event will comprise educational and entertaining items which will be performed by invited schools as well as students of Wesley.

Wesley College has anticipated this day at great length and believes that this Commerce Day would be much bigger and better. The union is driven by such confidence due to the success of the Quiz Competition that was held early this year with the participation of over 28 schools. The competition generated a fine profit which was used for scholarships which the union presented to the prize winners at the annual prize giving of the College.

The main sponsor for the Commerce Day - ACCA Sri Lanka, has supported the union immensely and much gratitude is shown towards them. Over 40 schools have been invited to participate at this event and more than 500 participants are expected to be present along with all the sponsors and well wishers. With the guidance of the Principal Dr. Shanti Mclelland , Vice principal Mr. W.B Jayawardena and the Head of Commerce Events Mr. Dilshan Perera the Executive Committee is determined to make this event a success.

The Executive Committee expects all the invitees to be present at this event and be a part of Greener Nation and make it a success.
