Melbourne Flight Training is Australia’s premier flight training organisation located at Moorabbin Airport in Australia’s second largest city, Melbourne. The Company is owned by Anthony Lee, an Airline Captain for V Australia on the Boeing 777 and Glen Buckley who is the Chief Pilot / Chief Flying Instructor. Between them they have approximately 40 years of aviation experience in various countries and aspects of the industry. Their broad range of experience and the enthusiasm of all of Melbourne Flight Training’s staff will help provide you with a professional, thorough foundation for your airline career.

The Company has a fleet of over 20 modern well equipped aircraft and takes particular pride in their fleet of aircraft. The fleet ranges from the basic 2 seat Cessna 152’s, 10 state of the art Cessna 172’s and Piper Warriors. The commercial component of the flight training utilises the brand new Cessna 182 and Piper Arrow aircraft. These aircraft are equipped with a full glass cockpit and provide an excellent environment for advanced training. These are ideal for pilots undertaking training towards an airline career. For the multi-engine stage they offer the Piper Seminole, Partenavia, Travelair and Piper Seneca. These aircraft will provide you with an extremely solid level of training.

Their modern fleet is supported by 20 highly experienced instructors. To complement their aircraft fleet, they are proud to offer the ELITE iGATE S623 digital flight training device which is the most sophisticated flight simulator of any flight training organisation in Australia. The simulator is extremely cost effective, technologically advanced with a 200 degree, 5 channel visual system to meet all instrument training requirements.

MFT, as it is known, has a well established reputation for offering Professional Pilot Training to domestic and International students. This reputation has been established over many years of quality training. MFT was recently upgraded to an RTO (Registered Training Organisation) allowing them to offer either a Certificate 4 in Aviation (Commercial Pilot Aeroplane Licence) or Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Flight Operations).

It is a lively and cosmopolitan city which combines a fanatical love of the arts and good living, and a state wide addiction of sport which is truly remarkable.
