Corporate Skills launches yet another programme with vast opportunities for the enhancement of Business English and Communication Skills. In April this year it will begin conducting classes in Business English and Communication skills (both oral and written forms) at its premises. These classes will be for those who want to enhance their marketability through acquiring the effective communication skills needed for the workplace.
Modern methodology - no throwing of senseless masses of notes at participants
Classroom techniques include interaction and student centred learning. The course content always utilises current corporate related material, workshop style activities and the most current training methodology. Not at any time, do the trainers resort to throwing senseless masses of notes at participants.
They do not believe in adopting this culture when training as the corporate culture demands well-designed training programmes and the dissemination of practical skills at the forefront.
Modern course material
Corporate Skills maintains close links with the world's leading publishers and trainers and this enables the team to constantly update their course material, skills and methodology.
Training material is taken from modern, globally recognised text books. Corporate Skills' publishing advisor on resource materials is Cambridge University Press which has recently granted Corporate Skills access and use of its newest and state-of-the-art website "English 360".
Post course assessment
Corporate Skills believes that every training programme requires an assessment. The post evaluation after every training programme confirms skills enhancement to the client. The evaluation methodology is based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), which allows the client to benchmark themselves against global standards. Therefore, every programme we offer is certified by the Academy of English and Drama, which is a certificate awarding body in Sri Lanka. Corporate Skills is also qualified and experienced in preparing students for global exams such as BEC, ISE and both Cambridge and Trinity ESOL exams.
Relevance and urgency of the programmes
Right now is the time of Sri Lanka's Renaissance, when it is spreading its wings and moving forward rapidly. The hope of political and economic stability and the fast growth of business and industry have made it imperative that our Human Resource pool is enhanced to match this rapid development.
The country needs a workforce that can fulfil the stringent demands of today's global business arena and drive Sri Lanka to reach its goals.
Perhaps the most urgent needs of Sri Lanka's Human Resource pool are the tools to function well in a global context. Foremost among these is the most current forms of Business English and Skills of the workplace.
The CEO of Corporate Skills, Shyam Hettiarachchi has this to say of her company - "Corporate Skills takes a practical approach towards training.
