It’s always been her passion and childhood dream to become a model and now making her way in the competitive Indian modelling scene is 18-year-old Bangalore-based Natasha Manjunath who was photographed there for the Sunday Times magazine by Mettasena.
“Competition is very high, but if you work hard and keep working harder success will always follow,” she says.
Natasha had her first break when she took part in the Miss Navy Queen contest, and was chosen as one of the finalists. That gave me energy and confidence to go into modelling on a professional level, she says. It’s fun at work, travelling, meeting new and different people and of course the attention, she gets on the shoots are what she enjoys.
When she’s not modelling, she’s into playing tennis, listening to music, horse riding, or reading books.
Her role models are Priyanka Chopra and Heidi Klum and Natasha hopes that in the years ahead she can hit the high spots as a top model and be an inspiration to the younger generation.
“I would love to make a mark in the film industry. One should believe in one’s self, that you are never too young to make a mark in the industry,” she adds in an email interview.
