Sri Lanka A suffered a massive 223-run defeat against Leicestershire in their first tour match played at Grace Road in Leicestershire yesterday. The tourists who were set to chase a huge 463 to win by the third day struggled to survive and were restricted to 239 by the home team.
Sri Lanka A followed their dismal first innings performance where they were shot out for 176 in reply to Leicestershire’s 341. Leicestershire after gaining a first innings advantage of 165 runs declared at 297 for 8 in their second essay.
