Some of our key areas of research are: Centre of Excellence for Alzheimer'sDisease Research and Care
The Centre is a collaborative research group that is unique in bringing together leading researchers in different disciplines, from prominent clinical researchers to leading exercise physiologists and brain imaging experts. The Centre's mission is to the lower the burden of Alzheimer's disease on the community and to enhance the quality of life for those affected by this disease.
Centre for Exercise, Sports Science and Rehabilitation Research
The Centre for Exercise and Sports Science Research conducts high-impact scientific research and provides postgraduates with training and supervision in the area of exercise and sports science. The centre collaborates with some of the top athletes and teams within Australia, working in both ECU's state-of-the-art facilities and on the sporting field.
Child Health Promotion Research Centre
The Child Health Promotion Research Centre is a multi-disciplinary team that conducts high quality, applied research to improve the overall physical, emotional, and mental health and well-being of children and other young people and their families.
Population Health Research Group
The Population Health Research Group draws together researchers in the broader population health domain, including epidemiology, addiction studies, adult health promotion, occupational and environmental safety and health and health services management.
ECU Melanoma Research Group
The ECU Melanoma Research Group's primary focus is to develop a simple blood test to detect circulating metastatic melanoma cells.
The Research Proposal Workshop will be held in Colombo at ACBT on 17th& 18th August 2011 from 9.30 am till 3.30 pm. Dr Madeleine Ogilvie, Head, School of Marketing, Tourism & Leisure, Faculty of Business & Law, Edith Cowan University will conduct the workshop for registered participants.
