Plan Your Child's Future: Opportunity to Meet with Professors from Massey University New Zealand

The Graduate Institute of Science and Management (GISM) is continuing its pivotal role as one of the most suits after Higher Education providers in Sri Lanka. It's primary visions for Sri Lanka is to set academic standards that are in line with the best of the world and introductory courses with the highest demand (employability).

Their academic partners, the Massey University of New Zealand is one of the top ranked Universities to be represented in Sri Lanka currently, offering part of their degree programmes locally at GISM. With the hopes of furthering their academic collaborations, some of the senior professors from Massey University are currently in Sri Lanka, visiting GISM.

These professors, having their specialized fields in sciences, computer & IT and business, provide a fountain of knowledge and expertise for the young minds of Sri Lanka who envisage in bright professional careers.

Hence, GISM has taken the initiative to provide a chance for these students and their parents, teachers, academics and professionals to meet with these prominent academics of New Zealand.

This will be a free public event which will be held on this Sunday, the 14th of August 2011 from 10am onwards at the GISM Campus Auditorium, 550, Old Kottawa Road, Udahamulla, Nugegoda. More information about this event can be found by calling 0112 835 935 or 0712 242 242.

This occasion will also provide a chance for the interested parents and students to meet with the students of GISM's current batch, who are set to travel to New Zealand at the end of this year where they will be completing the remaining two years of their undergraduate degrees at Massey University, having completed the first year at GISM.

One of the highlights of GISM-Massey collaborations is the never before opportunity for the local students to complete such an internationally recognized degree with the ability to recover all their expenses. Students of GISM-Massey collaboration will enjoy the post-degree work visa in New Zealand and the part-time work allocation during their studies in New Zealand.

Furthermore, in order to make that initial funding, GISM has arranged bank loan facilities with a number of leading local banks where the representatives from these banks will also be presented at the occasion.

The president of GISM, Professor Dr. G. G. Senaratne says the access to top university education that is once limited to those developed countries is now possible for our local students through GISM. In turn, he says "the possibilities for our graduates would be global".
