19th NCE Annual Export Awards to be held on Sept. 16

Sri Lanka's National Chamber of Exporters (NCE) has announced that it will be holding its 19th Annual Export Awards ceremony on September 16.

This is an awards programme that has been held every year, consecutively, since 1993. Also noted, the number of application received for this awards scheme has shown a "marked increase" since it was opened up for non chamber members two years ago, with this year too experiencing an increase over the previous year.

This is also despite the "fact that exports from Sri Lanka were severely affected by the global economic crisis during the year 2009," according to the NCE.
