eMarketingEye is to host ‘Optimizing the Future 2011’ with speakers from Google, ComScore and the Preferred Hotel Group on November 1 at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.
With the interest in Sri Lanka as a tourist destination and investment hub on the increase, Sri Lankan companies are presented with the unique challenge of effectively leveraging the Internet to advertise, engage and increase consumption of business services. From blue chip organizations to start-ups, the evolution of internet technologies offers exciting new opportunities, the organisers said in a statement.
eMarketingEye said the conference is intended to take a ‘hands-on’ approach to online marketing, discussing case studies, best practices, latest statistics and trends related to Sri Lanka, with parallel workshop tracks for travel and other industry verticals.
While the 2009 event was invitees only and more geared to the travel industry, this year’s event will be open to the public via registrations. “Sri Lanka is a particularly exciting market, showing strong growth across online industries. A conference of this nature is perfectly timed to help Sri Lankan companies leverage the online space better,” said James McClure, Emerging Market Development Manager for SE and South Asia, from Google. |
