Gone are the days when fitness was a boring, cumbersome affair. The very thought of what it took to stay in shape or lose weight, turned you off before even getting into it. Not anymore.
"We want to show people that nowadays fitness can actually be a fun and thoroughly enjoyable activity if you choose the right way to do it. That's the whole purpose behind organizing Sri Lanka's first outdoor "EBM Fitness Fiesta & Zumba Party" says Dharshi De Silva, Managing Director of J C Events. "My two partners, Dinali and Alex too, gave their fullest support to promote this event and to prove that Health is Wealth", talking about what inspired their company to come up with this innovative idea.
Indira Sellapperuma, an ex-serviceman, the founder of popular Easy Body Movement Gym in Moratuwa and his wife Dulani, will enlighten participants on why 'gymming' need not be a tiresome task. They, together, speak of a well experienced long journey of 14 years into fitness and keeping fit. This event is a golden and rare opportunity given to all their gym members to join along with their families and friends to enjoy fitness and socialize with many more who will be joining the event. Indira will conduct a session of Tai-Bo while his wife Dulani takes on excess body fat with aerobics.
This unique experience also invites you into the wonderful new world of Zumba - a fun way of losing weight and staying in shape through dancing that is quite the rage among fitness freaks worldwide. Dharshan Ramasamy, the first Sri Lankan to obtain the US Zumba Instructor License, will conduct a vibrant session of Zumba for a good one full hour for the participants. The remarkable addition to these three sessions of Aerobics, Tai-Bo and Zumba will be the popular fitness instructor for the Sri Lankan Cricketers, Tony, sharing his fitness experiences. Tony will be guiding the participants with basic and lifelong instructions to keep fit and to be healthy.
With these and much more lined up, EBM Fitness Fiesta and Zumba Party promises an evening of great fun and fitness. In an increasingly health conscious society, events such as this are noteworthy initiatives towards building an obesity free, fitter Sri Lanka.
