Christmas at the bottom of the sea!

Fancy creating a Christmas tree at the bottom of the sea? That’s what the Anantara Kihavah Villas resort in the Maldives did – creating an underwater Christmas tree made entirely from reef coral collected from the seabed. Mark Thomson, Assistant Director of Public Relations, Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, told the Business Times that the coral tree was situated on the seabed tree at approximately five metres below the surface. “In the creation of the tree the skills of a team of engineers, dive centre associates and various volunteers were utilized - led by the resorts’ Marine Biologist,” he said.
