MARKSS Healthcare’s 2nd regional distribution hub and warehousing complex in Kandy

MARKSS Healthcare (MARKSS HLC), which says it’s one of the fastest growing pharmaceutical companies in Sri Lanka, opened its second distribution hub in Kandy recently, establishing an island wide regional distribution and warehousing complex for their pharmaceutical, neutraceutical items, medical equipment and devices.

The new distribution and warehousing complex was inaugurated by Sarath Ekanayake, Chief Minister Central Province. The company said in a statement it plans to introduce a number of Regional Distribution Centres throughout the country further strengthening its distribution channels and links with its customers directly.

The regional centres are designed to ensure many elements of supply chain to the customer. It serves to ensure the quality of drugs right to the customer. Through this venture, MARKSS will have control of its distribution to the point of the chemist. In addition, the regional hub is capable of handling orders rapidly with a higher degree of efficiency, the company said in a press release.

Maithri Bandaranaike, Director - MARKSS HLC, said the new distribution channel expansion will help us in giving an efficient solution further strengthening the company’s offerings to the local market.
