Leo Burnett does well at Goafest

Leo Burnett Solutions Inc said this week said it excelled at the India-based Goafest advertising awards last week winning four coveted metals in a cross section of categories, for its clients Cargills Ceylon, Akzo Nobel - Dulux and the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society (SLEDS).

The internationally recognized TV commercial titled, "Pass it on when you're done with it" created for the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society (SLEDS) again continued its international winning streak at Goafest, winning Silver in the Best of South Asia category as well as a Bronze metal in the Social Service category, the ad agency said, adding: "This commercial received a standing ovation from the 1000 plus attendees at the festival."

This film has had an impact on millions of Sri Lankans who have heeded the call and responded to the plea with an unprecedented response of over 5,000 calls requesting for donor applications.
Leo Burnett also said it's innovative poster campaign to launch KFC's home delivery service received a Bronze metal in the best of South Asia segment.

Chrishani Kotelawela the agency's Chief Operating Officer, Leo Burnett Sri Lanka, who received the award said, "I feel really proud not just for Leo Burnett Sri Lanka but for the advertising industry in Sri Lanka when the 'Pass it on' commercial received a standing ovation. It was personally a gratifying moment for me".
