Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd, a member of the global Allianz SE Group, is supporting its future growth and market penetration objectives through investments into its islandwide network of Business Development Offices (BDOs), alongside its wider branch network.
Accordingly, Allianz Lanka is in the process of opening new BDOs in strategic locations across the island, including Naula and Kaluwanchikudy, with future offices proposed to be set up in Godagama and Digana. These new locations will help to consolidate Allianz Lanka’s existing network of BDOs located in Maharagama, Mahawewa, Padukka, Kelaniya, Meegoda and Wattala. BDOs help to study a business’s products, services and operations, and then develop new strategies and ideas to increase the reach and throughput of the business, while creating value for customers, the company said in a media releasw.
Commenting on the company’s strategic expansion drive, Dennis Hewagama, Chief Sales Officer- National, Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd said, “In spite of the challenging economic conditions, we have been able to guide the business towards sustainable growth. To keep this momentum and maintain our growth trajectory, we have implemented a comprehensive strategic expansion drive, to expand our islandwide network. One focus area in this is increasing our BDO presence, which will help to provide more-convenient access points for customers, while also providing a base for our business development teams to increase our presence and market penetration in these regions. Having functional BDOs at strategic locations across the island also increases our opportunities to work together with experienced insurance agents who are looking to carry out their business under a globally recognised brand. Together, these initiatives will not only help our customers, but also help to create new employment and economic opportunities for local communities.”
