On Avurudu day itself, the atmosphere at The Kingsbury transforms into a festive haven, complete with traditional games and activities that evoke nostalgia and celebrate the spirit of the New Year. It’s a place where generations can come together with children laughing at Kotta Pora, elders reminiscing over sweets and families soaking in the joy of new beginnings. Ideal for family gatherings or treating your team at the office, this exquisite mini-banquet includes a rich assortment of beloved Avurudu sweets like Konda Kavum, Kokis, Athirasa, Aluwa and Pani Walalu, alongside savouries such as Ulundu Vadai, Parippu Vadai, Milk Rice with condiments, and a comb of Bananas. Available for just LKR 20,000 nett, it’s a nostalgic, joy-filled celebration delivered with Kingsbury finesse.

Also on offer are generously curated Avurudu Hampers starting from LKR 12,000 nett, each filled with an assortment of traditional treats, snacks and sweets to brighten the holiday spirit. These make for ideal gifts or ceremonial centrepieces for the home.

For a truly hearty celebration, the ever-popular Yellow Rice Sawans return with five delicious varieties: Chicken, Mutton, Beef, Pork and Prawn.
