The Kingsbury, Colombo, invites guests to celebrate Thai Pongal in the spirit of gratitude, abundance and togetherness with curated offerings that honour this cherished harvest festival. Rooted in tradition and enriched with warm hospitality, the celebrations are designed to bring families and friends together through authentic flavours and meaningful moments.
On 15th January 2026, Harbour Court will host a special Thai Pongal Buffet, available for lunch from 12:00 pm. to 3:00 pm. and dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 pm. The festive spread showcases a generous selection of savoury and sweet Pongal varieties, complemented by a vibrant array of Indian salads, a lively Pani Puri and Papdi Chaat station, assorted Vada and Samosa, and a live Dosa counter served with traditional condiments. Guests can also enjoy a variety of vegetable curries, a dedicated Biryani station, and a selection of signature South Indian desserts, alongside specially crafted Thai Pongal-inspired cocktails and mocktails. Live music by Murgesh will further enhance the ambience, creating a celebratory setting that reflects the joy and cultural significance of the festival.
The Kingsbury also presents a Thai Pongal Platter, featuring an assortment of traditional favourites ideal for sharing with loved ones at home or gifting during the season.
