Sri Lanka’s tea sales average for January has recorded a significant increase this year by Rs.762.09 compared to the same period last year.
The national tea sales average for January 2023 was recorded at Rs.1, 466.76 compared to last year’s same month average of Rs.704.67, Forbes and Walker report stated this week.
Analysing the respecting elevational averages for the same month High Grown average of Rs.1, 395.03 recorded an increase of Rs.35.25 compared to the previous month’s average of Rs.1, 359.78.
Compared to January 2022 average of Rs.680.56 it was a clear significant increase by Rs.714.47.
Medium and Low Grown averages only recorded a marginal increase month on month. Medium Grown average totalled Rs.1, 242.82 and Low Grown average was Rs.1, 544.39. (SD)
