Colombo stocks recorded gains on Monday on high turnover helped by a large Rs. 12.9 billion crossing in blue chip, John Keells Holdings.
The total turnover was a massive Rs.18.4 billion with the ASPI up 12.50 points to close at 13,384.11 and the S&P increasing 30.27 points to close at 4,635.26.
The Colombo Stock Exchange changed to a free float adjusted market cap based ASP index today, but the revision didn’t affect the general sentiment in the market. (DEC)
