Korea Lanka School of Hospitality & Hotel Management has been honored as the ‘Best Tourism Education & Training Institute (Small Category)’ at the recent ‘Sri Lanka Tourism Awards – 2024’ held at Cinnamon Life, Colombo.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Hon. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism.
The other distinguished invitees for the event were, Hon. (Prof.) Ruwan Ranasinghe, Deputy Minister Tourism, Buddhika Hewawasam, Chairman Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority,
Noor Ahmad Hamid CEO Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and leading Tourism related personalities of the country.
The Director General of KLSHHM, Prabodh Kulatunga & its Country Director, Jingkwan Jung earnestly pays their gratitude and appreciation to Udana Wickramasinghe, Director Research & International Relations of SLTDA, Upali De Silva, Event Consultant, the Chairperson, Panel Members and the Grand Jury who were responsible in the evaluation process of this prestigious award.
The Korea Lanka School of Hospitality & Hotel Management situated in Wattala is an institute which provides hotel related education to marginal youth of the country completely free of charge.
The operational intention of the institute which is funded by Korea International Co-operation Agency
(KOICA) and managed by the South Korean NGO – the Good Partners, is to provide career development facilities to above mentioned category of youth who are unable to financially invest in related studies to join the industry.
