NDB Bank marked the vibrant festival of Thai Pongal with a celebration organised by the NDB Staff Recreation Club (NDBSRC) at its Head Office in Nawam Mawatha. The event, held on January 20, brought together staff and their families for an evening filled with cultural traditions, joyful camaraderie, and festive cheer, the bank said in a media release.
The celebration was a colourful showcase of Tamil heritage, with the air filled with the aroma of sweetmeats and spiced chai that added to the warmth of the occasion. Guests were treated to traditional delicacies that symbolised the spirit of gratitude and abundance, reflecting the essence of Thai Pongal.
Adding to the festive charm was the Mehendi Corner, where intricate designs adorned hands, creating a joyous and interactive experience for attendees. The event brimmed with cultural vibrancy, fostering unity and mutual respect among the diverse NDB family.
