National Development Bank PLC (NDB) has once again been recognised for its commitment to transparency and corporate reporting at the prestigious CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2024.
The bank was honoured as the winner in the "Best Integrated Report - Banking Sector" for the sixth consecutive year (joint award in 2024) and also earned the coveted recognition as one of the "Five Excellent Integrated Annual Reports," the bank said in a media release.
The CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards, organised annually by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA Sri Lanka), is a premier platform that promotes integrated reporting among Sri Lankan companies, both listed and unlisted, as well as state-owned institutions. The awards focus on showcasing companies that demonstrate how they create, preserve, or erode value over time, aligning with global best practices in integrated reporting.
Commenting on the accolades, Hasitha Athapattu, Vice President Finance, said: “This achievement reflects our commitment to excellence in corporate reporting. At NDB, we believe in producing reports that are not only aligned with international standards but also serve as a benchmark for transparency and stakeholder engagement, whilst empowering users of our annual reports with information of greater relevance and clarity, thereby enabling more informed decision making.”
This latest achievement reaffirms NDB's position as a leader in the banking industry, particularly in adopting robust reporting practices that integrate financial and non-financial information.
