Dialog Axiata PLC, through its subsidiary Digital Holdings Lanka has entered into a joint venture with Asiri Hospitals PLC to develop and operate a state-of-the-art electronic commerce infrastructure for Sri Lanka’s heathcare sector. Making the announcement on the Colombo Stock Exchange on Friday, Dialog said a new company named Digital Health Pvt Ltd in which it the country’s main mobile phone provider controls 70 per cent and the balance 30 per cent held by Asiri, has been set up. In the meantime there were media reports saying e-Channelling, the premier doctors’ channelling service, has filed action in court against the new venture.
