Heung A Line, locally represented by M/S Sharaf Shipping Agency (Pvt) Ltd, will have a weekly call at the CICT with the SIS/C16 service, deploying six vessels of 4200 TEU capacity, directly connecting China to Sri Lanka and India. The port rotation of the SIS/CI6 service will be Dallian, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang, Colombo, Nhavasheva, Mundra, Port Klang and back to China, the company said in a media release.
The new service will allow “Heung A Line” to offer direct connections between China - Sri Lanka and India and enable them to mark their presence in this region.
The added capacity is expected to help importers in Sri Lanka to ensure that their cargo, especially in relation to the garments and the construction industries are made available in time to meet the production demand.
Heung A Line is also looking at further expansion into this region, and has already launched its second service - SIS-2 from China to India.
