Nation Lanka Finance (NLF) has announced the appointment of Suresh M. Amerasekera as its new CEO with effect from June 9. Up to now he was functioning as the COO since September 2019.
Mr. Amerasekera is a senior banker, with over 35 years of experience in the finance industry. He last held the position as the CEO of Pan Oceanic Bank, Solomon Islands from May 2016 to September 2018. Prior to that he held the position as the CEO of Housing Development Finance Corporation and Orient Finance PLC, NLF said in a media release.
For the last 12 years he held five positions in the “C Suite” in 2 banks and 3 finance companies, including the current position.
Mr. Amerasekera holds a MBA (International Business) from the Edith Cowan University, Western Australia and Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK.
