National Development Bank PLC was felicitated as the “Company with Great Managers” 2020 as 10 individuals of the senior management of the bank won awards under various categories at the Great Manager Awards 2020 hosted by the Colombo Leadership Academy for Leadership Excellence.
The awards ceremony was graced by Guest of Honour Krishan Balendra, Chairman of John Keells Holdings PLC and took place at the bank’s Nawam Mawatha Headquarters, the bank said in a media release.
NDB’s Managers were felicitated with 10 awards under four categories – Driving Results and Execution, Aligning Organization Vision, Team Effectiveness and Collaboration as well as an exclusive recognition of one single award under the category Leadership Integrality.
Balasubramanium Aingaran, Brinthapan Selvanayakam and Damitha Silva were awarded the Great Manager award for ‘Driving Results and Execution’. Dilshan Lankathilaka was among the managers felicitated with the ‘Great Manager for Aligning Organization Vision’ while Christopher Flemming, Sameera Senarath, Melody Wickramanayke, Chandima Alwis and Indika Ranaweera were awarded the ‘Great Manager for Team Effectiveness and Collaboration’.
NDB was also the only organisation recognized with the ‘Great Manager for Leadership Integrality & Holistic Approach’ awarded to Manique Bandara during 2020, the release said.
NDB Director/Group CEO Dimantha Seneviratne, commenting on the awards, said “Being recognized as the organisation with the highest number of great managers for two consecutive years, shows that NDB has laid a platform to develop these managers to become true leaders and has continued to do that through talent identification by giving them opportunities to showcase these talents.”
