The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) main index, the All Share Price Index (ASPI) gained as much as 9 per cent last month, CSE data showed.
The ASPI is now up +1.9 per cent year to date (YTD), although the S&P SL20 is still down by 16.4 per cent YTD.
Most Asian and global stock markets had a ‘November to remember’ month, with India gaining +11 per cent, Japan +12 per cent and Thailand rising +22 per cent.
At the CSE, heavyweights, JKH and CTC remain at the top in terms of market capitalisation with Distilleries PLC rising to third position and Expolanka PLC holding onto 10th position.
