Oman Air has increased its flight frequency to Colombo to two flights per day from its earlier four flights a week and is targetting 15, 000 load factor by the year end, the airline said at a media briefing in Colombo.
Oman Air Chief Officer Sales Mahfood Ali Saleem Al Harthy addressing the media today said that they had increased capacity by operating 14 flights per week since October this year.
As part of increasing capacity on its fleet of 41 aircraft, the airline has added on two 787 Dreamliner aircraft on their European destinations of Germany and Milan, he said.
Commenting on their operations into Colombo, Mr. Al Harthy said Sri Lanka was the most attractive destination for the GCC countries.
in this regard, they had reached 12, 756 by end October and believe they could cross 15, 000 passengers by year end that would be an increase of 24 per cent compared to the same period last year, the carrier noted.
With the increase in frequencies the airline is expecting to grow by a further 30 per cent, Mr. Al Harthy said.
