Revenue of Sri Lankan tea exports for June increased by Rs.1.4 billion compared to the same period last year.
June exports amounted to a total revenue of Rs.21.3 billion, up by Rs.1.4 billion compared to Rs.19.9 billion realized in June 2019.
Tea exports for June this year totaled 23.6 million kg indicating a decline compared to the same period last year that achieved 24.1 million kg, according to official statistics.
Tea bags and bulk tea exports also showed a gain when compared to the corresponding month of 2019 while packeted tea showed a decrease. (SD)
