Cinnamon Red Colombo: Celebrates 10 Years of Tango

‘Cinnamon Red’ the pioneering brand of hotel under the Cinnamon wing, celebrated its 10th Anniversary on Sunday, 1st of September, 2024.

Located down Green Path (Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha) in Colombo on a 60 perch land Cinnamon Red Colombo is the very first hotel to introduce the concept of ‘lean luxury’ to Sri Lanka and is the first of its kind in South Asia. 

Situated in a walking distance to Colombo’s leading shopping centres, historical sites, market places and nightlife zones of Colombo and number of restaurants and pubs, Cinnamon Red boasts of having 26 floors with 243 rooms including one suite. Starting from the ground floor to the sixth floor is the car park, the reception cum tea and coffee bar on the seventh floor and all day dining restaurant on the eighth floor. The 243 rooms are divided between the 10th and 25th floor with 16 rooms on each floor on average. 

The infinity pool on rooftop with 360 degree view of the Colombo’s skyline and the oceanic horizon on one side and the central hills as the backdrop from the East, ‘Red’ is the popular choice for urbanites and tech enthused travellers.

The visitors can also stack their own mini bar rather than the hotel staff doing it. There are no meeting or event rooms at the Cinnamon Red. The operating model of the hotel is far unique than any other three-star hotels. High tech operating system offers much freedom to the visitors to be on their own.
