The Italian Embassy in Colombo is celebrating Italian Design Day and The Days of Italian Fashion in the World, hosting Brenda Bellei Bizzi, the CEO of WHITE Milano, a renowned fashion tradeshow held during Milan Fashion Week.
Brenda Bellei Bizzi will also collaborate with Colombo Fashion Week Summer 2025 in its 22nd edition presenting Sicilian designer Cettina Bucca’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection at CFW.
Brenda Bellei Bizzi was appointed Ambassador for Italian Design in Sri Lanka in the 2025 edition of Italian Design Day.
Focusing on contemporary women’s wear design, WHITE will be a significant platform for promoting emerging designers and sustainable fashion practices at CFW this year. Brenda’s discussions integrate well with the ethos of circularity in fashion, creating a fashion ecosystem that provides support for designers to enter the global fashion industry. Additionally, she will hold discussions with fashion and design students at the College of Fashion & Design and fashion designers about opportunities at WHITE.
Said Ambassador for Italy in Sri Lanka Damiano Francovigh, “Fashion and Italy are inextricably linked and having Brenda Bellei Bizzi with us to celebrate Italian Design Day and the launch of The Days of Italian Fashion in the World in Sri Lanka augments that premise. As the ambassador for Sri Lanka in the 2025 edition of the Italian Design Day, Brenda Bellei Bizzi will collaborate with Colombo Fashion Week for its summer edition, allowing us to showcase Italian fashion in this beautiful country.”
WHITE is an international exhibition that attracts a wide range of stakeholders during Milan Fashion Week, spotlighting over 12,000 fashion companies and 90,000 industry professionals. WHITE has served as a launching platform for numerous designers, including Uma Wang, Kidsuper, BOTTER, and WINDOWSEN. “Having Brenda's expertise, experience, and knowledge shared with local designers, both emerging and established, will enhance the understanding of Italian fashion and design in Sri Lanka and contribute to the success of Colombo Fashion Week," the Ambassador noted.
Cettina Bucca was founded in Milazzo in 2010 as a bespoke tailoring atelier. Each design is distinguished by the quality, beauty, and refinement of its fabrics and every collection inspired by a thought, a dream, or a detail that brings to life timeless and unique patterns. The prints are the result of the creativity and passion of the designer and the brand's illustrators, who create original and one-of-a-kind graphics and paintings.

Italian brand Cettina Bucca will show at Spring/Summer 2025 at CFW 2025
