Climate Positive, an exhibition where ten creatives celebrate climate positivity with various media of art, is now on at the Barefoot Gallery from August 1-9.
Amidst the works of art are creative photography, puppetry, innovative musical instruments and symphonies, sculpture, creative board games and even a machine that turns crushed plastic into sheets.
The creatives are the fellows of the Creative Catalyst Fellowship which was initiated last year by Good Life X. They went through a residency and a long period under the mentorship of various professionals, thus learning the scientific nitty-gritty behind climate positivity in order to create meaningful art.
The ten artists are Dilsiri Welikala, Dinoj Mahendranathan, Kanil Abeyagunawardene, Kaushalya Nandasena, Lakshika Rajapakse, Mahesha Kariyapperuma, Munira Mutaher, Poornima Jayasinghe, Sandranathan Rubatheesan and Thabendran Krishnapriya.
