Recently, a friend casually asked me, “Are you getting ready for the season?” The question caught me off guard. I had assumed Christmas was still far away. But in truth, it is just around the corner - only a few weeks away. And as always, this time of the year brings remarkable changes. Hotels begin mixing their Christmas cakes, and shops fill up with gifts for the festive season and year-end celebrations.

Unlock Possibilities

This season has a special way of unlocking possibilities. It brings hope - especially to the business community. Children wait eagerly for their presents, and families begin shopping to find the perfect gifts for their loved ones. But at the heart of all this excitement and transformation is one powerful force: love.

Create Opportunities

Yet, while many celebrate, we must also remember the thousands of children, elderly and families who are suffering in silence. Our hearts ache when we think of those in war-torn countries, especially as winter approaches and their struggles deepen. That is why, during this season, businesses, foundations, agencies, and individuals step up to create opportunities that ease the pain of others.

This is a time to remember that we are all children of God, constantly receiving His abundant love. The songs, carols, and stories of Christmas remind us that God came into this world to unlock the possibilities within us - and to create opportunities not just for ourselves, but through us, for others.

As the year draws to a close, businesses begin reviewing their performance and setting bold goals for the future. This is our moment to rise higher, to empower our communities, and to find new ways to make a lasting difference. Around the world, people believe in the power of love to shape the future. Over the next few weeks, we will hear stories of lives being transformed, of innovative programmes being launched, and of love in action.

The choice is ours. We too can be part of this movement - changing our corner of the world in small but meaningful ways, according to our capacity and resources. Let us begin building a legacy this season - one that transforms not only our lives but also our businesses and the way we work.

At its core is this truth: God so loved the world that He gave His Son so that none should perish, but all should have eternal life.
