One of Colombo’s oldest girls’ schools, Methodist College Kollupitiya is gearing up for "MC Shines 2025" - a fun-filled Walk and Carnival on May 3rd in aid of the school’s building projects. The Walk, starts at 3 p.m. from the Marine Drive entrance of the school, and will then proceed on to Bambalapitiya junction before turning on to Galle Road and heading back to the school. The walk will be followed by a carnival that is expected to begin at around 6 p.m. at the school.

The Intangible and the Invisible – an exhibition of abstract art by acclaimed Mexican plastic artist and architect Pedro Trueba Zepeda takes place at the Lionel Wendt gallery from May 6th to 9th from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. daily.
The exhibition is being held to celebrate the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Sri Lanka.
Pedro Trueba, born in Minatitlán, Veracruz, and now based in Mexico City, is a renowned figure in the fields of visual arts and architecture. The Intangible and the Invisible reflects Trueba's engagement with abstraction as a deeply emotional and spiritual language.
