A ceremony to unveil the portrait of the late D.B. Wijetunga, the former President was held yesterday (Feb 11) at 11.00 a.m. at the Parliamentary Complex.
The Portrait was ceremonially unveiled by the President Maithripala Sirisena.
The Department of National Zoological Gardens is readying enclosures to quarantine two large tortoises that were found stranded 15 kilometers westwards off Pitipana Negombo, today.
