The Galle Literary Festival came to a close on Sunday, 17 Januar, a relaxed agenda, including a paced-out walk around the Galle Fort with Mrs. Carder marked the end of an action-packed week.
Sessions came to a close with a Literary Lunch at Jetwing Lighthouse hotel. All authors featured in this year’s festival were present at the final day’s lunch which also saw the inauguration of a regional prize for poetry. The Edward Lear Poetry Prize is open to poets of the SAARC nations and is to be announced at the Literary Festival next year.
