The three judges at the 44th Inter – School Shakespeare Drama competition revealed the finalists of the Girls Category in the competition.
The judges panel comprised theatre veteran Tracy Holsinger, Sabreena Niles and Hasitha Pathirana. The schools into the finals include Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Ave Maria Convent, Gateway College Kandy and Visakha Vidyalaya.
While commenting on what they were looking for and criteria that guided their selection they said they were looking for real characterisation and how much the actors were able to bring to life Shakespeare's characters in these plays. They also congratulated all the schools that participated adding that it was a tough competition and this year's standard was incredibly high.
The Girls finals will take place on September 29 at 6.30 pm at the Bishop’s College Auditorium.
Tickets will be available at the Bishop’s College Auditorium from September 26.
