Former Second Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka in Hawaii, USA, Kusuma Cooray, recently received a Distinguished Public Service Award from Gen. Harris, Commander of the US Pacific Command.
The citation presented to her states that Ms. Cooray was recognized for her support of the US Pacific Commander's mission of enhancing the US-Sri Lanka Partnership. Pictures show Mrs. Cooray at the presentation ceremony in Honolulu.

A Sri Lankan man was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi airport for attempting to smuggle wildlife out of the country after three ball pythons were found hidden in his underwear, the Bangkok post reported.
