A team from Interplast New Zealand and Australia have been delivering a craniofacial mentoring program in Colombo in partnership with the National Hospital of Sri Lanka.
Craniofacial surgery is a surgical sub-speciality that deals with congenital and acquired deformities of the head, skull, face, neck, jaws and associated areas. The team, all from New Zealand, is being led by volunteer Interplast plastic and reconstructive surgeon Charles Davis and volunteer Interplast neurosurgeon Agadha Wickremesekera. In addition to the local Sri Lankan surgeons participating in the training.
