The Miss Tourism Sri Lanka International pageant is a unique concept designed to promote Sri Lanka around the world as a top tourist destination. Twenty representatives from various parts of the world toured Sri Lanka on a 14-day visit.
As a part of the sponsorship, the contestants actively participated in tree-planting programmes at The Blackpool Hotel – Nuwara Eliya, Anantaya Resorts & Spa Sri Lanka – Chilaw, and Hotel Tree of Life – Kandy. This programme was in line with People’s Bank Green Banking initiative which is one of the bank’s key strategic goals for 2016 and beyond.
The grand finale was held on February21 at the Hilton, Colombo.
