On Monday, February 10, NDTV Anchor, the inimitable Ms. Ambika Anand, won the prestigious Indian Television Academy Award (ITAA) for Best Fashion & Lifestyle Show for her coverage of Colombo Fashion Week (CFW)’s Celebrate Colombo creative festival by So Sri Lanka. The win is hailed as a milestone for NDTV.
NDTV covered the Celebrate Colombo creative festival in a 30-minute prime-time special to showcase the vibrant arts, fashion, tourism and culture of Sri Lanka, and in particular the hospitality and resilience of Sri Lankans to come together and organize a creative festival of this magnitude.
Celebrate Colombo brought together Sri Lanka’s creative industries in Art, Fashion, Food, Music and Film to showcase Sri Lanka as a vibrant and lively city and attract tourists back to the island post the unfortunate events in April 2019.
