Saudi prince buys seats on a plane to transport his 80 falcons

Features

In 2015 Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, one of the richest people in the world, announced he was giving away his $30 billion fortune, and now, another Saudi prince has taken excess to the next level by buying his raptors seats on an airplane.

A Reddit user shared the photo, reportedly sent by his captain friend, that shows passengers surrounded by countless falcons.

However falconry is so popular in the United Arab Emirates that many airlines, including Eithad, Emirates and Qatar, allow a certain number of pet falcons in the cabin or in checked luggage.

In fact, so many birds fly in airplanes that the UAE government reportedly issued 28,000 falcon passports between 2002 and 2013, Gulf News reported.

Lufthansa have gone one step further to accommodate super-rich passengers and created a patented bird stand that allows travellers to keep their falcons nearby during the flight.
