A much looked forward to event in the calendar of activities hosted by the Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation is the Scrabble Tournament that is usually attended by many senior regulars who participate year after year with much enthusiasm.
This year, LAF is looking forward to registering more participants for the Scrabble Bash on February 25 at the Foundation auditorium.
Those interested must register with the office of the Foundation by calling 0112667080/82/84. Entry fee per participant is Rs.2 500 while Corporates are kindly invited to send in their donations to sponsor a team of four or a player.

The Colombo High Court today (28) sentenced former parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra to three years of Rigorous Imprisonment over charges of the involvement of an abduction.
In his special statement, President Ranil Wickremesinghe announced that debt restructuring agreements will postpone all bilateral loan payments to foreign countries until 2028. Additionally, Sri Lanka will have until 2043 to repay these loans on concessional terms.
