Sri Lanka gets ready as Electric Peacock Festival is back

Sri Lanka’s biggest international multi genre music festival returns on Dec 4  and it promises to be the best year yet. “We are very excited to bring back the festival after a two year hiatus”,  Festival Co-Founder, Leah Bazalgette said in a statement by organisers, “We are focusing on building the festival experience this year and creating opportunities for all our attendees to be involved in the atmosphere, mainly with the unique activities that we plan to have within the festival site.” Much like festivals across Europe and the USA, Electric Peacock Festival aims to be more than just a music concert and is looking to move into a performing arts platform focusing around culture, arts, theatre and music. “This will create a more holistic and enjoyable experience for everyone that chooses to attend our event,” said Tasha Marikkar, Co-Founder of the Festival, “We are trying to distinguish the Festival from a lot of ‘me-too’ events that have popped up since we started and are looking to expand on our ethos to create a real festival much like Glastonbury and Bestival have.
