This Christmas, World Vision Sri Lanka is organising a Christmas Market (Pop-up Sale) on December 7 at the Bayleaf from 10am onwards in a bid to support the schooling requirements of children in Mundalama.
The organisation will be partnering with a number of small scale businesses to support children in Mundalama who have one or both parents in prison. Children who have parents in prison face many vulnerabilities, one of which is dropping out of school.
World Vision has organized a pop-up Christmas market in an effort to support the children with school supplies and other essentials.
An array of brands such as Blossoms, CK Green – Pathra, Sri Arts, Summer_67, Twisted Shades, Katana Upcycle, The Butler, Thirteen Thirty One, True.lk, Zibabynilka, Ahankara have come on board and will contribute a percentage of their sales on that day for this cause.
In February, World Vision Lanka partnered up with 15 different start-ups to support those who were affected by the floods in the North. The funds which were collected through the “Gift to Remember” pop-up sale supported families whose farmlands were destroyed affecting their vital source of income.
