The South Asia Gateway Terminal (SAGT) has today (Wednesday) reported two COVID-19 positive cases of workers following tests carried out on Monday.
SAGT CEO Romesh David speaking with the Business Times stated that two workers had been detected as positive COVID-19 cases, one worker at the gate and another truck driver who is a contract worker.
First contacts of these two workers with four from the gate and six from the truck driver have been asked to self-isolate as of now, he noted.
However, he said that they were able to cover the worker shortfall at the terminal and were able to carry out the work uninterrupted. (SD)
