Thirteen families in the Panmoor Estate in Hatton have been temporarily housed at a child care centre after floods wreaked havoc over the last 24 hours.
Flood waters had left houses at the estate partially submerged after havy rains were experienced in the catchment areas in the central region of the country.
Sluice gates of reservoirs too were opened as a result of heavy rains in these regions. Meanwhile, the Panmoor Tank in Hatton is also reported to be facing a risk of collapsing due to the rising water levels.
