An 18-year old boy who collapsed while playing soccer at Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa , died on admission to hospital today (Mar 21).
The deceased has been identified as V. S. Dulsara de Alwis, a resident of Keselwatte, Panadura.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the boy had died due to injuries he had sustained following the fall, police said.
Moratuwa Police noted that the boy had an injury at the back of his head and had died upon admission to the Panadura Base hospital. A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on the body of the deceased today.
Further investigations are being carried out by Moratuwa Police.
