The daily death toll from COVID continues to remain high with eight deaths reporting on Thursday (18) increasing the total death toll from the virus to 430.
Among yesterdays’ were a 20 year old female from Rideemaliyedda who died at the Badulla Provincial General Hospital from severe COVID triggered pneumonia and respiratory failure.
A 67 year old female from Dematagoda, a 58 year old from Colombo 08, a 43 year old male from Meegoda, a 52 year old male from Dekatana, an 86 year old male from Colombo 10, a 74 year old female from Keselwatte and an 81 year old male from Wattala died from COVID pneumonia, failure in the respiratory system, and intensified underlying health conditions.
Wednesday recorded 13 deaths, the highest number of deaths recorded from Coronavirus in the country.
