Seven Indian fishermen who were engaging in bottom trawling in Sri Lankan territorial waters off Northwest of Delft Island in Jaffna were arrested yesterday, Navy said. Two of their fishing trawlers also seized. The arrested fishermen were brought to Kankasanthurai along with fishing trawlers and handed over to the Jaffna Assistant Director of Fisheries for onward legal action.
